Brown 2001 16hh Zabeel – Savannah Success by Success Express
2009 fee $20,000 +gst

From his first crop Savabeel is the sire of three individual stakes winners - Group 3 winner My Emotion - VRC Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (Gr3), Listed winners Queen Sabeel and Warrentherooster along with Savsbelle, placed third in the Group 1 VRC Oaks.

He is also the sire of winners King Sabeel, Lady Selene, Mother's Milk, Fabulist, Lost In Love, No Emotion etc .

Savabeel defeated ten other Group One winners in the 2004 W.S. Cox Plate, becoming the second 3YO in 20 seasons to win Australia’s WFA Championship event.

A winner as a 2YO over 1000m and Group One placed, Savabeel then defeated the cream of his 3YO peers in the Group One Spring Champion Stakes (2000m). Confirming Savabeel’s versatility were his close Group One seconds in the CF Orr Stakes (1400m) to International performer Elvestroem, and the VRC Derby (2500m).

Ranked the Best Three Year Old Performer of 05, Savabeel was the Highest IFHA Rated 3YO in Australia in 04-05 (ahead of Fastnet Rock, Charge Forward and Alinghi) and was rated equal with star 4YO Elvestroem.

Savabeel is heir apparent to Zabeel, Australasia's premier sire, with 114 stakes winners to his credit – 37 at Group One level.

His dam Savannah Success, by Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Success Express, was a stakes winner at two before becoming a dual Group One classic winner at three.
