EXPLOSIVE TRIPLE G1 WINNER PACO BOY BOASTS A LEGENDARY RECORD AGAINST FIERCE INTERNATIONAL COMPANY.

A dual winning 2YO, who went on at 3 to crown 5 remarkable black-type wins with G1 glory and a 130 Timeform Rating.

Starting at black-type level on every occasion, PACO BOY stamped this brilliant 7 start classic term with a five win sequence comprising of debut Listed victory, a G3, two G2 salutes and ultimately G1 glory in the Longchamp Prix de la Foret (1400m).

At 4, he won the G1 Royal Ascot Queen Anne Stakes (1600m) and the G2 Sandown Mile and was awarded the Champion Older Miler of Great Britain.

Still thriving under the care of champion English trainer Richard Hannon at 5, PACO BOY won the G1 Newbury Lockinge Stakes (1600m) and registered win number 2 in the G2 Sandown Mile.

A second win in the G1 Royal Ascot Queen Anne Stakes was not to be, with the freakish GOLDIKOVA narrowly heading him in a vintage field containing ZACINTO, CAT JUNIOR and RIP VAN WINKLE. The ensuing G1 Longchamp Prix de la Foret would likewise attract a quality field of 5 G1 opponents, with PACO BOY again bravely accounting for all bar
champion nemesis GOLDIKOVA.

Renowned for his blistering turn of foot, PACO BOY raced throughout 5 countries and retires with an elite race record of 11 wins – eight at Group level.

PACO BOY is by the Green Desert sire Desert Style and out of the G1 producing mare TAPPEN ZEE – a half-sister to two-time stakes winner and G1 Irish 2000 Guineas placegetter Cape Town. They are from the MUMMY’S PET mare ROSSALDENE and the family of international Group winner ELECTRIC BEAT – the champion older sprinter in Germany in 2007.

His pedigree is free of duplication within the first five generations and promises to be a potent match for Australasia’s leading sirelines.

PACO BOY IS BEING RESTED FROM STUD DUTIES AT WAIKATO STUD IN 2012
