Waikato Concludes Karaka In Style

Waikato Stud concluded the 2010 Karaka Sale in style
when their Pins colt from Hideaway was knocked down
to agent Guy Mulcaster for $130,000. The attractive
bay was a full brother to Maple Star, an impressive
debutant winner in Singapore a fortnight ago.
Danny O'Brien has enjoyed huge success with WS graduates
and the leading Melbourne trainer went to $60,000 for
a daughter of first-season sire Fast 'N' Famous. The
grey filly is a half-sister to Listed SAJC St Leger
winner Thousand Veils with their dam the Gr 3 performed
Success Express mare Forever Dancing.
A Scaredee Cat colt was WS's third top-seller when he
made $47,000 to the bid of Hawkes Racing. He is a son
of the multiple winner Go Our Dana who is a half-sister
to stakes performer Pinmdown from the Gr 1 family of
Imperial Angel (NZ 1000 Guineas).
The 'Breeders Of the Decade' completed the sale selling
60 of the 66 yearlings they offered with the top price
being $350,000 for the Pins colt from Saucy, brought
by the Hong Kong Jockey Club..
