Pins colt Jack's Point emphasised his class and versatility
when he trounced his older opposition at Trentham on
Saturday. The three-year-old mastered the trying underfoot
conditions to comfortably account for his Rating 70
sprint rivals.
He now has two wins and a pair of placings from five
appearances with his maiden success at Woodville posted
on a good track. Trained at Awapuni by Lisa Latta, Jack's
Point was bred by WS and realised $140,000 to the bid
of Taupo-based bloodstock agent Paul Beamish at Karaka
in 2008. He is out of the winning Kinjite mare Activate
who is a three-quarter sister to Gr 2 Sha Tin Vase winner
Astimonti and Gr 3 Summer Cup winner Zanetta.
