A three-year-old from a WS family with an excellent
international track record struck again in Hong Kong
last night. Flying Supreme made it two wins on end when
the son of O'Reilly was successful over 1200 metres
at Sha Tin for trainer Caspar Fownes.
The gelding boasts Hong Kong Gr 1 performer Our Pal,
Gr 2 HKJC Queen Mother's Cup winner Magic Hands and
the multiple stakes winner and Singapore Horse of the
Year Bocelli among his family ranks. He is out of the
Danasinga mare Saucy who is a sister to dual Gr 2 Australian
winner Ugachaka (Edward Manifold Stakes, Queen of the
Turf Stakes) and a half-sister to Centaine's Gr 3 winner
Country Rose (Manawatu Challenge Stakes).
Flying Supreme was purchased out of WS's Premier Sale
draft to Karaka in 2008 by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
They also purchased his half-brother by Pins for $350,000
at the National Yearling Sale earlier this year.
