Pins Colt A Cracker (15 December 2010)
Mark Chittick has tipped a Pins colt out of Lodore Mystic
to be one of WS's headline acts during the upcoming
Premier Sale at Karaka. The youngster has the pedigree,
conformation and family race performance to ensure widespread
interest.
"He's a nice, strong colt and we're really very
happy with him - he's one of the stars of our draft,"
he said. He is a half-brother to O'Reilly's four-time
Gr 1 winner Alamosa (Thorndon Mile, Ford Diamond Stakes,
Otaki-Maori WFA, Toorak Handicap) and to Sacramento
(No Excuse Needed) who yesterday broke through for his
first victory at Te Rapa after a number of minor placings.
They are out of the Centaine mare Lodore Mystic, who
won at 1600 metres and is a sister to Gr 2 winner Perfect
World. "The mare's got an O'Reilly filly at foot
and is safely in foal again to O'Reilly," Chittick
said.
